Sunday Bunny is a children’s story I’m developing as an imagined origin story of who the Easter Bunny is, and why he would hide colorful eggs. It started as a story for my nephew who as a 3 year old, asked why he hunts for eggs on Easter (and wondered why a rabbit is involved).

After researching the actual origin of the Easter Bunny, I knew I would fail to explain the Germanic origin of “rebirth” to the three year old.

Sunday Bunny instead is a story about new starts, spring cleaning, appreciating nature, and creativity.
